» kaos42 - Emergence and Evolution

Evolution is one of the most studied areas of complexity and emergence (it's biology but intersects with mathematics, chemistry and physics), yet it remains highly controversial outside of the scientific community. The main argument against evolution is that it is too complex to explain as natural phenomena. Scientists disagree, and do understand most of the processes involved. The area that remains unsolved is the evolution of DNA, but this is an active area of study and isn't insurmountable.

What do you think?
