Bad Movie Physics

Sound in space is like nails running down a chalkboard to anyone with an appreciation of actual physics.

I can across this lovely (yet cynical) site about the sins of movie makers when it comes to physics. The "Insultingly Stupid Movie Physics" site is chock full of interesting articles that demyths bad physics simulated on film. My favorite diatribe on the site was about visible security laser beams - if you have seen Ocean's Twelve (or Ocean's Eleven, or any other film involving high-tech theivery), you'll get a big kick out of it.
